2012 Performance Schedule

Friday, March 9 7:30 P.M.	Flying Monkey Arts Center Huntsville, Alabama	Get a jump on St. Patrick's Day festivities this year and join us for our sixth Annual March concert at the Flying Monkey. Along with all the fun Irish Music and Dance, we will be celebrating the release of our new CD, "Leaving Plevna". As always, BYOB and Smoke-free.
Saturday, March 10 7:00 P.M.	Blount Springs Concert Series The Village at Blount Springs Blount Springs, Alabama	This concert will be in the Blount Springs Chapel at the Village at Blount Springs. This is a great venue for an intimate concert setting. This 2 hour concert will feature material from our new CD, "Leaving Plevna". Click here for directions and other details.
Saint Patrick's Day Saturday, March 17 7:30 P.M.	Flying Monkey Arts Center Huntsville, Alabama featuring: North Alabama Celtic Music "All-Stars"	The place to be on St. Patrick's Day!! We are forming a special 10-piece band for this one-time-only show, including all the best Irish Music players we can muster from the Tennessee Valley area. This "all-star" band will include current and former members of SlipJig, members of Kinvara, Finnegan's Pub session players, and other top players from the area. One Big Band, One Big Show!! BYOGB (Bring Your Own Green Beer)!
Tuesday, March 20 7:30 P.M.	"Brilliance from the British Isles" The Brass Band of Huntsville with SlipJig Grissom High School Auditorium Huntsville, Alabama	We will be the guests of the Brass Band of Huntsville for this special celebration of "Brilliance from the British Isles ... Music from Across the Pond". This unique event is something you won't see every day ... a collaboration between a British-style Brass Band and a traditional Celtic Band.

Thursday May 24 6:00-7:30 P.M.	Huntsville Public Library Summer Concert Series Huntsville, Alabama	The Huntsville Public Library Sponsors this cool Summer Concert Series. The music will be in the atrium area. We've been doing this several years now, and always look forward to this great setting for a concert. The show will include Irish Dancing. Free to the public Huntsvillians, we hope to see you there.
Fri-Sun September 2012	CelticFest Mississippi Jackson, Mississippi	A great 3-day Celtic Festival in the South! We've been there for the past few years and plan to be there again this year. Details and schedule will come a bit later, so stay tuned!

Session Alert !!

Various members of SlipJig may be sighted at Finnegan's Pub (Huntsville, Al.) on any given Thursday night where we host a traditional Session along with the Kinvara Band and other talented friends starting around 7:30. This is not a SlipJig performance, rather, a traditional session. Skilled players, Irish music fans, and innocent bystanders are welcome.
